Question 519281: 2/3 + X/5<4/15 SOLVE USING ADDITION AND MULTIPLICATION PRINCIPALS
HERE IS WHAT I HAVE SO FAR:
X/5 + 2/3 <4/15
2*X/3.5 <4/15 =

2/3 + X/5 < 4/15 SOLVE USING ADDITION AND MULTIPLICATION PRINCIPALS
HERE IS WHAT I HAVE SO FAR:
X/5 + 2/3 < 4/15
2*X/3.5 < 4/15 =
2*X/15 < 4/15
AM I DONE OR IS THERE MORE?
Sorry, that's all wrong. Here's what you do:

        + <

Multiply every term by LCD = 15

 15· + 15· < 15·

Simplify:

      3X + 10 < 4

Add -10 to both sides:

           3X < 4-10

           3X < -6

Divide both sides by 3

            <

              X < -2

[As long as you divide or multiply only by positive
numbers, you don't flip the inequality sign].
