First question:
Add +4 to each side of the equation:
3/8 y -4 +4 = 2+4
3/8y = 6

Multiply both sides by the reciprocal of 3/8, which is 8/3:

, which is the D answer.

Second question has an error. There are two equal signs.

Answer by THANApHD(104)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve: 3/8y - 4 = 2
3/8y-4+4 = 2+4
3/8y = 6
3/8y*8 = 6*8
3y = 48
3y/3 = 48/3
y = 16

So the answer is D

3x-9 = x = 2

I think U'r question is 3x-9=x+2
So 3x-9+9=x+2+9
3x-x = x+11-x
2x = 11
2x/2= 11/2
x = 11/2
So the answer is D
