Hello,
Let's first get rid of the fractions by multiplying by 2(x+1)to get:
x(x+1)>5*2+4(2)(x+1)
Rewritten as:
x^2+x>18+8x
Subtract 18 and 8x to get:
x^2-7x-18>0
Now factor this:
(x-9)(x+2)>0
We come up with 2 answers
x>9
x>-2
The answer that fits is:
x>9
Make sense?
