Question 429026: 6y+2 less than 8y-2
Answer by IWork4Dessert(60)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6y+2<8y-2
Subtract variables from each other.
2<2y-2
Add the -2 to the other side.
4<2y
Divide both sides by 2 to get the y alone.
y>2
(That just turned the equation around so that the y was first.)
Hope this helps :)
