the principle of isolating the variable is the same in both examples.
c/7 = 9 |to isolate c in this case, one needs to multiply both sides of EQ by 7
c = 63

You multiply both sides by .  Since  and 
are the same I'll use  on the left side and  on
the right



Now cancel the 7's on the left, and multiply 9*7 on the right.


 
And you end up with
