To solve this inequality we will try to leave z alone. To do this first we subtract 10 from each side;
-2-10 < 4z+10-10 < 12-10
-12 < 4z < 2
Now let's divide each side by 4;
-12/4 < 4z/4 < 2/4
-3 < z < 1/2
