Question 396426: how do you add/subtract inequalities ?

Inequalities follow the same arithmetic properties as equalities, with a few exceptions (such as multiplying both sides by a negative number).
If x > y, then x + c > y + c
If x > y and c is positive, then cx > cy. However if c is negative, we have to switch the inequality sign to obtain cx < cy.
