Hi,
Using the point-slope formula,
(-7, -6) and (-4, -8)
m = [-8 -(-6)] / [-4 - (-7)] = -2/3
Using the standard slope-intercept form for an equation of a line y = mx + b
where m is the slope and b the y-intercept
y = (-2/3)x + b Using ordered pair Pt(-4,-8) to solve for b
-8 = (-2/3)*(-4) + b
-24/3 - 8/3 = b
-32/3 = b
y = (-2/3)x - 32/3
