Question 372365: my son is in tenth grade and is having trouble with his algebra i never had this in school here is a sample could you explain how to do this? first sample –z – 3 < -4 second sample 4x < x + 6
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
first sample
–z – 3 < -4
---
Add z to both sides to get:
-3 < z-4
Add 4 to both sides to get:
z > 1
=============
second sample 4x < x + 6
Subtract x from both sides to get:
3x < 6
Divide both sides by 3 to get:
x < 2
==========
