Question 369933: Shenae spent $42 on 2 cans of primer and 1 can of paint for her room. If the price of paint p is 150% of the price of primer r, which system of equations can be used to find the price of paint and primer?
Answer by robertb(5830) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let r = price of one primer, and p = price of one paint. Then
2r + p = 42, and
p = 1.5r. That's it!
