3-4a when there is a less than in the problem you switch the sequence that it was in so it would be 4a-3.
the second part is 4 times the sum of the number and 1. 4(b+1)
you have to put the perentheses between the variable and 1 because it's only talking about 1 and the variable not 4. so when you put it together it would be
4a-3>4(b+1)
