If you mean (5/4)x, then
Divide by 5
x-1 > (1/4)x
x-1 > x/4
Multiply by 4
4x-4 > x
Add 4
4x > x+4
Subtract x
3x > 4
Divide by 3
x > 4/3

I can't help you solve "this equations [sic]" because you don't even have one equation, much plural equations. What you have is an inequality. Yes, it makes a BIG difference.
