Question 31727: I have two Questions on inequalities:
Solve: -x+1< -1/2

and |b+2|< -1
I could really use some help please!!!!!!!

Answer by mukhopadhyay(490)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-x+1< -1/2
=> -x < -1/2-1
=> -x < -3/2
Multiply above with (-1); note that the sign will reverse
So, x > 3/2
Answer: x > 3/2;
.............
|b+2|< -1
doesn't produce any real solution; the absolute value must ALWAYS be >=0
