Subtract 1 along the line to get:
11 < -x <= 14
---
Multiply thru by -1.
Note: When you multiply by a negative the
order of the inequalities change.

Do you mean 12 ≤ 1 - x ≤ 15?
Or do you mean 12 < 1 - x ≤ 15?
In either case, plug both answers into the original inequality.
If you get a true statement, then you will know which answer is correct.
