Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How do you know if a value is a solution for an inequality? How is this different from determining if a value is a solution to an equation?
-------
In both cases, a solution means a value of the variable (or the variables)
which, when substituted for the variable(s), gives a true statement.
---
If you substitute your "solution" for the variable and get a
false statement, you know your "solution" is really not a solution.
