Question 305873: If b < 2 and 2x – 3b = 0, which of the following MUST BE TRUE?
(1)x > -3 (2) x < 3 (3) x < 2 (4) x > 3
Answer by Fombitz(32388) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let's assume that b was very close to 2.
Make it equal to 2 and solve for x.
However b will never equal 2, so x will be very close to 3.
When b=0, x=0.
The solution set includes 0 and a number very close to 3.
So then x will always be less than 3.
2) x<3
