So x will be one number and the other number we"ll call y. We'll set up two different equations to look like this:
x+y>27
y=x-3
OK, so plug in the second equation into the first to look like this:
x+x-3>27 Add 3 to both sides and combine terms to get:
2x>30 Divide both sides by 2 to get:
x>15
Plug this answer into the second equation and we'll get:
y=>12
