Doreen has started a part-time business making and selling bird houses. Her equiptment costs $75. If she makes a profit of $6 on each, how many bird houses must Doreen sell to make as total profit of more than $135? Write and solve an inequality for this situation.

6x - 75 = 135
6x - 75 +75 = 135 + 75
6x = 210
Divide each side by 6 to get "x" alone
210/6 = 35
Check:
35x6= 210
210 - 75 = 135 profit so 1 more (36)
