Question 213515: Solve the problem by writing a compound inequality. Between 15000yd3 and 16000yd3 of earth must be trucked away from a construction site. The trucks can remove 1000yd3 per day, and 10500yd3 has already been removed. How many days are needed? I think I'm supposed to start this by writing: 10500-(15000 is greater than or equal to 16000)- something but I'm not sure what. I think the next part of the inequality must contain a variable, but I'm stuck as to what to do next. Thanks for your help :)
