The absolute value of 7 is just 7, so the right side
is just 7

|3.5z| > 7

Since 3.5 is positive, we may write
the left side as

3.5|z| > 7

Divide both sides by 3.5





|z| > 2

So the distance any number which variable z can take 
on must be more than 2 units from 0, on either side
of 0, so the graph of the inequality on a number line is:
