Answer by checkley75(3666)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x+y=5 multiply by 2 7 ADD.
3y=4x-5
4X+2Y=10
-4X+3Y=-5
--------------
5Y=5
Y=5/5
Y=1 ANS.
2X+1=5
2X=5-1
2X=4
X=4/2
X=2 ANS.
Proof:
3*1=4*2-5
3=8-5
3=3
