Question 177608: w over -5 + 8 < 15. I need to know how to arrive at the answer in detail. Substitute teacher not very helpful in explaining how to get answer.
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
w over -5 + 8 < 15
--------------------
(w/-5) + 8 < 15
Subtract 8 from each side to get:
(w/-5) < 7
Multiply both sides by -5 to get:
w > -35
