Question 169415: explain how to solve this for my test!!!
2- 2/3x > 6

Answer by Mathtut(3670)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2-2/3x>6--------> first isolate x on the left so subtract 2 from both sides
:
-2/3x>4--------> to further isolate x you must multiply both sides by -3/2 remembering that when you multiply or divide by a negative number the inequality sign reverses.
(-3/2)(-2/3)x>4(-3/2)
:
x<-6
