Write an inequality to describe each situation:
Cats and Dogs. Willow Creek Kennel boards only cats and dogs. One friday night there were twice as many dogs as cats in the kennel and at least 30 animals spent the night there. Let d represent the number of dogs.
Thank you

Answer by scott8148(6628)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
"One friday night there were twice as many dogs as cats" __ d=2c __ c=d/2

"at least 30 animals spent the night there" __ d+c>30

substituting __ d+(d/2)>30 __ (3/2)d>30 __ dividing by 3/2 __ d>20
