Question 131811: Thank you so much! I am in prealgebra and I am having a hard time with solving inequality and then graphing the solution on a number line. This is a worksheet, I could not find anything in my book. The question would read: negative one quarter x is greater than or equal to negative 12.
-1/4x > -12 this could be greater than or equal to
Any help you could give would be great!

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-1/4x >= -12 this could be greater than or equal to
Multiply both sides by -4 to get:
x <= 48
-----------
Draw a number line.
Pick a point and label it 48
Put a big dot there.
Draw an arrow going to the left from that dot.
The dot and the arrow are your graph.
