Question 121926: Create an inequality to represent the following situation:
You are trying to decide whether to pay $120 for a season pass to an amusement park. If you buy the pass, you get an unlimited number of visits to the park and reduced parking for $7. If you do not buy the pass, you pay $32 for admission and $10 for parking each time you visit the park. After how many visits will the cost of the season pass be less than the cost of visiting without a pass?
Answer by oscargut(2103) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x the number of visits to the park
If you pay the pass you will pay 120+7x
if you do not pay the pass you will pay (32+10)x=42x
so you have to decide buy the pass if 120+7x<42x
then 120<35x then 24<7x
then x>3
R:you have to buy the pass if you are going to do more than 3 visits to the park
