You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6%2F5 + 3%2F%282x%29 = 7%2F%2815%29
:
Find a common denominator and multiply equation by that. 30x would do the job:
30x*6%2F5 + 30x*3%2F%282x%29 = 30x*7%2F%2815%29
:
Cancel out the denominators and you have
6x(6) + 15(3) = 2x(7)
:
36x + 45 = 14x
:
36x - 14x = - 45
:
22x = -45
x = -45%2F22
:
Checked solution using a calc:
(6/5) + (3/(2(-45/22))) = .466667
and
(7/15) = .466667; confirms our solution
