Let Roni's present age be "x"; Then Betty's present age is "2x".

Two years ago Roni was "x-2"; Betty was "2x-2"

Find their present ages.
EQUATION:
2x-2 = 3(x-2)
2x-2 = 3x-6
x = 4 (Roni's present age)
2x= 8 (Betty[s present age)
