Question 1083399: Two problems say to write equations in standard form, but I got the answers in slope-intercept and am not quite sure how to translate them. The equations are; y>3/2x+(-3.5) and y<=-4/5x+1. Can you please help me?
Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y>3x/2x-3.5
-3x/2+y>-3.5
multiply by -2 to make x an integer and positive and to make 3.5 an integer. Standard form requires integer coefficients and the x to be positive.
3x-2y < 7 note the change in inequality
==============
y <= -4x/5+1
(4x/5)+y <=1
multiply by 5
4x+5y <=5
