Question 1076275: the height of lisa's tirnagular dining room is 12 feet, if the area of the room is at least 96 square feet, but no more than 108 square feet. what is the lenght (base) of the room? thank you.
Answer by JulietG(1812) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Area of a triangle = 1/2 base * height
Height = 12
12 * 0.5(base) = 96
Divide each side by 12
0.5 (base) = 8
Multiply each side by 2
base = 16 for the minimum
.
Now do it for the maximum
12 * 0.5(base) = 108
Divide each side by 12
0.5 (base) = 9
base = 18 for the maximum
