My problem is 2<=x<10 I am told to create two statements from this,then to solve the two equations to learn the intersection of the two statements. I need to be able to express the answer as an intersection of two statements as well as interval notation.

2 <= x <= 10
break that up into 2 statements and you get:
2 <= x and x <= 10
2 <= x can also be written as x >= 2
the two statements can now be written as:
x >= 2 and x <= 10
in interval notation, this wouldbe written as [2,10]
