The larger number of steps were just to make everything extremely clear. Observe that all terms were arranged onto one side of the inequality and zero on the other side of the inequality. I also used Symmetric Property, keeping the same number order.

What you may USUALLY want to do with such inequalities is this way:




and SEE the way the order relation symbol is switched direction upon multiplication by a negative value! That's what to know when multiplying both sides of inequality by a negative value.

since you are dividing by the negative number, change the inequality sign to the opposite.

You will get
m <= 1.
