Answer by ptaylor(2198) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2/3(p+3) > 5/6 (p-4) Get rid of parens
(2/3)p+(2/3)*3>(5/6)p-20/6 simplifying
(2/3)p+2>(5/6)p-20/6 multiply each term by 6 (LCM)
4p+12>5p-20 subtract 12 and also 5p from both sides
4p-5p+12-12>5p-5p-20-12 collect like terms
-p>-32 divide both sides by -1 (remember, inequality sign will change)
p<32
Hope this helps---ptaylor
