Question 5806: I am having a problem understanding interchanging linear equations between standard form and slope-intercept form. If -/- = +, and -/+ = -, wouldn't the answer to the following problem be -2x + 7/3?
6x + 3y = 7 My solution: 6x + 3y = 7
6x - 6x + 3y = 7 - 6x
3y = 7 - 6x all divided by 3
= y = 7/3 - 2x or -2x + 7/3
