Ax+b=c Subtract b from each side.
Ax=c-b Divide each side by A

Subtract b from both sides (to undo the +b).

The b goes away on the left side (since b-b = 0)

Divide both sides by A to undo the multiplication of A to x.

Since A/A = 1, the A terms cancel on the left side
