The bigger/larger number = b
The smaller number = s
b-s = 62 => b = 62 + s
2b + 3s = 304
And then we substitute the b
2(62+s) + 3s = 304
124 + 2s + 3s = 304
5s = 304 - 124
5s = 180
s = 36
Then we find the b
b-s = 62
b-36 = 62
b = 62+36 = 98
