1/a+1/b+1/c=1/x
1/8+1/5+1/4=1/x
5/40+8/40+10/40=1/x
23/40=x
40/23=x
x=1.73913043 hours working together
check
1/a+1/b+1/c=1/x
1/8+1/5+1/4=1/40/23
5/40+8/40+10/40=23/40
23/40=23/40
