Question 759519: What is the sum of two numbers is 76. If larger is two less than 5 times the smaller.
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Smaller number = x
Larger number = 5x - 2
x + 5x - 2 = 76
6x -2 = 76
6x = 76 + 2
6x = 78
x = 78/6
x = 13
Smaller number = 13
Larger number = 63
13 + 63 = 76
Hope this helps.
