Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The sum of 2 more than 6 times a number and 7 times that number is that number decreased by 39.
---------
6x+2 + 7x = x - 39
13x + 2 = x - 39
12x = 37
x = 37/12
