Here is the Word Problem:
"A change machine contains nickels, dimes, and quarters. There are 75 coins in the machine, and the value of the coins is $7.25. There are five times as many nickels as dimes. Find the numbers of coins of each type in the machine."

n = nickels
d = dimes
q = quarters

Given equations
n+d+q = 75
.05n + .1d + .25q = 7.25
n = 5d

Substitute the third equation into the first equation
5d + d + q = 75
6d + q = 75
q = 75 - 6d
...
Substitute into the second equation
.05(5d) + .1d + .25(75-6d) = 7.25
.25d + .1d + 18.75 - 1.5d = 7.25
-1.15d = 7.25 - 18.75
-1.15d = -11.5
dimes

n = 5(10) = nickels
...
q = 75 - 6(10) = 75 - 60 quarters
