Question 610384: a square and a a rectangle both have the same area. what is the numerical value of the rectangles perimeter if the rectangle has a length of 2x-3 and a width of x-2 and the square has sides of x. thanks
Answer by flame8855(424) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(2x-3) ( x-2 ) = x^2
2x^2 -7x +6 =x^2
x^2-7x+6 = 0
(x-1)(x-6) = 0
x= 1
x = 6
so x =6
so 2x-3 =9
x-2 = 4
x =6
