Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x numbers Reserved Tickets
y numbers General

1 x + 1 y = 450 .............1
7 x + 4 y = 2775 .............2
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by -4
Multiply (2) by 1
-4 x -4 y = -1800
7 x + 4 y = 2775
Add the two equations
3 x = 975
/ 3
x = 325
plug value of x in (1)
1 x + 1 y = 450
325 + 1 y = 450
1 y = 450 -325
1 y = 125
y = 125
325 numbers Reserved Tickets
125 numbers General
