The question needs to be reworded because it ask What percent of the student wear rings? Do you mean one ring or two rings? I hope the following helps you.
1,200 - 4% = 48 students wear - one ring
1,152 - 1/2 - 576 students wear two rings
The remainder 576 wear no rings.
