Question 5386: If the perimeter of a rectangular house is 25 1/3 yards, and the length is 22 feet. What is the width?
Answer by Abbey(339)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Convert the total perimeter to feet, by multiplying 25 by 3 (3 feet in a yard) and adding one (to account for the 1/3) = 76 feet
perimeter = 2L + 2W
76=2(22)+2W
76=44+2w
76-44=2W
32=2w
16=w
The width is equal to 16 feet
Check your answer:
2*16=32
2*22=44
32+44=76
