Question 463312: alpine college plans to increase tuition $50 each year. In 2003, the tuition was $375 per semester hour. Find the linear function that describes tuition as a function of time since 2003.
Answer by robertb(5830)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let y = tuition, and x = # of years from 2003 (i.e., x = 0 for 2003, x = 1 for 2004, etc.,)
Then for the point slope formula,

<==> y - 375 = 50x, or y = 50x + 375.
