Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Enrollment at a particular online university is 11,600.
There are seven times as many students who work full time as there are students who do not.
Let # of students who do not work full time = x
Then # of students who work full time = 7x
-----------
How many students work full time and how many do not?
Equation:
x + 7x = 11,600
8x = 11600
x = 1450 (# who do not work full time)
7x = 10150 (# who work full time)
