We have to find length AC.
..
angle DAC = angle of depression = 26deg.22'
this is = angle ACB . alternate angles
..
sine angle ACB = vertical / hypotenuse (AC)
sine 26 degrees 22 minutes = 550/AC
AC = 550/sine 26 degrees 22 minutes
AC = 1238 feet
