10x/24 = 1
x = 24/10
x = 2.40 hours
Convert .40 hours to minutes by using the conversion factor of 60 minutes/1hour:
.40hours x (60min)/(1hr)= 24 minutes
So both men would complete the job in 2 hours and 24 minutes.
