a cyclist traveled at a rate of 32 mph to visit a nearby town. The cyclist averaged 10 mph on the return round trip took 6.3 hrs, find the distance to the nearby town.

distance is the same each way ___ time equals distance divided by rate

(d / 32) + (d / 10) = 6.3

multiplying by 160 (LCD) ___ 5d + 16d = 63 * 16

21d = 63 * 16 ___ d = 3 * 16 = 48
