My attempt to answer it:
HorseshoeFalls = h
American Falls = h + 2
h + h + 2
= 2h + 2
2h + 2 = 116m
h + 2 = 116/2
h + 2 = 58
h = 58 - 2
h = 56
Therefore:
HorseshoeFalls = h = 56
American Falls = h + 2 = 56 + 2 = 58
58m + 56m = 114m
I can't seem to get it right. If you'd please help solve my question it would be greatly appreciated.

Horseshoe falls = x
American falls = x+2
x+2+x=116
2x=114
x=57
57+2=59
Hence, the american falls are 59m high and the horsehsoe falls are 57 m high.
